Being a defender of nature, I would stand up for the turtle. The snapping turtle was present way before humans put up homes around the lake. It is in their genes to lay eggs where all their ancestors laid eggs for 100’s or 1,000’s of years. If you think about it, isn’t it just respect to help save some? In Hawaii they rope off areas where sea turtles have laid eggs. Turtles have to lay so many because various critters eat them. Add humans to the equation in a populated area and the chance for survival drops dramatically. Thanks for sharing.
